Business Change Project Manager - 6 Months - Nottinghamshire - Negotiable Daily Rate A leading Energy and Utilities client of Hyphen is looking for a Business Change focused Project Manager to join their site in Nottinghamshire as part of a large Change Programme focusing on Utilities delivery. Job Purpose:- Successfully manage Change projects/manage work streams on larger projects, through all stages of the project life cycle, as directed by the Programme Manager and Project Sponsor in line with agreed UK Change methodology and governance processes. Main responsibilities of role *Accountable for the delivery of multiple changes and new capability to the identified business areas within agreed timescales and to agreed level of quality in order for the business unit to achieve its MTP (Mid Term Plan). *Accountable for the definition and agreement of the scope of each initiative to ensure clarity and support of the objective, timescale, budget and quality measures with key leadership team stakeholders. *Accountable for the definition and management of an appropriate controlled environment for each project including; governance and decision making, investment proposal development, resourcing, execution of the plan, management of risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, changes, stakeholders and team management. *Responsible for ensuring the identified benefits and quantification are valid, realistic and accepted by the Sponsor and benefit owners. *Responsible for the readiness of targeted business areas to ensure they are ready to accept the change and realise the identified benefits. *Responsible for delivering to the targeted business areas appropriate tracking mechanisms to ensure benefits are delivered. *Work with dependant functions; Customer Experience, Digital, Finance, IT, Legal Marketing Communications etc. to establish and maintain fruitful, mutually beneficial relationships. *Identify initiatives for continuous improvement and work collaboratively with the Change community to build our best practice framework and techniques. *Lead, motivate and manage the Project team to meet project requirements and schedule. *Inspire excellence in terms of customer focus, commercial focus and innovative solutions. *Manage and monitor the day to day focus and activities of the team, ensuring appropriate productivity measurement and performance standards, robust controls and checks are embedded. *Comply with and role model the organisation s values and code of conduct. *Manage purchasing requisitioning, goods and service receipting and invoice payment in line with organisation best practices. *Manage day to day project pressures and constraints so as to mitigate impact on achieving key performance indicators. *Ensure all team operations and activities meet internal and external audit standards and where deficiencies are identified ensure action plans are in place and progressed effectively. Key skill requirements:- Essential:- *Experience of working in a project environment either as a lead on work streams within larger projects or as a Project Manager for smaller projects end to end. *Evidence of managing and embedding lasting business change in projects either as part of the core Project team or as a business representative working on the project. *Good communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills. Desirable:- *PRINCE 2 qualification (or equivalent methodologies) or a good knowledge thereof. *Experience of using MS Project or similar planning tool. *Financial and commercial awareness.
