3rd Line Support Infrastructure Support Specialist - Glasgow 2nd/ 3rd Line Support Job Description: To design and deliver specialised infrastructure support and technical estate management to a diverse customer portfolio of complex multivendor contact centre technologies and business communications solutions. You will work as part of a centralised team providing managed service design for the BAU activities/ processes on the development and production infrastructure and then provide advanced second and third line technical support to remediate service affecting incidents and to fulfil internal and external service requests. You will primarily be responsible for fulfilling, delivering and developing an estate management function to prescribed standards ( security, availability and capacity) for a number of hosted solutions. This role requires an individual who is technically advanced in a number of products and considered a technical authority in one or more products. The jobholder is developing towards subject matter expertise across multidisciplinary specialised skill sets You will also be expected to apply your capabilities to deliver other existing and future support services as part ofSupport s continual service improvement and development. You are required to maintain a consistently high degree of customer focus applying your analytical and customer management skills to understand and meet customer expectations to maintain market leading CSAT. Candidate Requirements: Responsibilities: Captures and analyses support requests from customers, colleagues and monitoring tools to accurately define, categorise and prioritise support requests Performs 2nd and 3rd technical support performing analytical, problem solving, research and testing activities to resolve/ fulfil requests at an advanced level to meet resolution/ workaround targets Composes new and updates existing technical and procedural documentation Documents, composes and executes complex major requests for change to configure and implement changes on customer and internal systems to meet change requirements Acts as a technical authority coordinating complex technical investigations with support from the Service Desk, other second line internal and external third party resolver groups within escalation timelines to support colleagues and meet SLA target Operate and maintain the target environments to the prescribed standards and procedures Help develop tools to monitor and maintain systems. Ensure compliance of all infrastructure in terms of capacity, performance, security, and supportability Optimises environment based on business and security needs. Ensure the overall reliability of services. Identify and develop opportunities for task automation/ efficiency Ensure infrastructure estate is being proactively monitored and action taken to resolve issues ahead of business interruption Ensure the operational capacity, performance and availability of the infrastructure landscape is being managed Identify opportunities to improve operational performance and efficiency and implement plans to deliver improvements Previous experience of the set up and maintenance on managed service data centre environments Previous exposure and solid capability in a 2nd / 3rd line Support role within a demanding and customer focused environment Good technical knowledge with previous support experience of database admin/ maintenance Experience with UNIX/ Linux system administration and support ( RHEL preferred) VMWARE virtualisation admin and support Windows Server Management NOTE: This job is based in London, England, UK
