My client is seeking a Lead Java Developer (Agile / Junit / Jquery / Java / DDD / Jenkins) to join a newly formed team of agile developers working on an exciting transformation project in both Greenfield and Brownfield development. The projects the Lead Java Developer (Agile / Junit / Jquery / Java / DDD / Jenkins) will be working on involve the most cutting edge technology of today and require someone who is technically focused with a willingness to learn/pick up new tech, and that can clearly communicate and collaborate with other teams. Skills Required: At least 3 years’ experience as a Java programmer Proven experience with Agile/extreme programming methodology. A self-starter - can hit the ground running. Must be proactive, enthusiastic, flexible, and results driven. Experience working on green-field and brown-field applications Experience and knowledge of core Java, including Spring, Junit, JSP, JQuery, Oracle DB SQL, Jax RS, Jackson, Cucumber. Experience of Groovy and other JVM languages a plus. Experience with MyBatis a plus. Experience with: REST/SOAP, Struts – legacy, Domain Driven Design (DDD), Event sourcing/CQRS is desirable Experience of continuous delivery & continuous improvement methods. Knowledge of automated build / continuous integration platforms, especially Maven and Jenkins (Gradle useful). Experience working in teams and collaborating with other employees. Excellent spoken and written English, clear oral communication skills. Experience in working with colleagues in other locations, especially offshore development colleagues. Knowledge of microservice style architecture design, non blocking RESTful APIs and reactive programming.
